Swagbucks High School Rivalry Week

Swagbucks is helping us go back to school with The High School Rivalry Week Competition. It starts NOW and ends at 12pm PT on Friday, August 23rd. Here are the details: 

To participate, just click here to go to the competition page and you'll be assigned to a school. Score points for your school by earning Swag Bucks via SBTV and SBTV Mobile (1 point per Swag Buck win), Special Offers (2 points per Swag Buck win) and Surveys (4 points per Swag Buck win). 

The team with the most points at the end of the competition is the winner, and every member of that team who contributes at least one point gets a 25 Swag Buck bonus paid out no later than 8/30. Everyone who contributes to the 2nd place school will get a bonus of 10 Swag Bucks, and the person who earns the most points for each team will get a 500 Swag Buck Bonus.

Target is running a "Give With Target" promotion starting Wednesday, August 14th.  With this promotion Target is giving $5 million dollars to schools.  The promotion is very simple.  For every vote a school receives it will earn a $1 Target gift card.  That means if a school receives 500 votes, they will receive a $500 worth of Target gift cards.

Locket-Android App

A friend just introduced to my a new interesting app for Android. It's called Locket.

Locket is an Android app that puts ads from various brands on your lock screen so you get paid when you unlock your phone. The app is currently in beta (just released around July 15th) and only available to US member.  They are currently paying 1 cent for each time you unlock your phone, up to 3 times an hour. 

No, you're not going to get rich from unlocking your phone but since you have to unlock your phone anyways, why not get paid to do it? 

The ads on the lock screen are just images and they actually don't look too bad. You have the option to swipe left to open the ad/website or to swipe right and just unlock your phone like normal. Either way you get paid and it's easy money for something you do anyways. Minimum to cash out is $10 via PayPal.
