A Guide to Using Plastiq

What is Plastiq?

This is a question I was wondering myself 3 months ago when I heard of it for the first time. Plastiq is a service that lets you pay virtually any bill with a credit card. There is a 2.5% flat fee for all transactions, and there are a few payment type restrictions for each various credit card issuers.

The idea is that you can pay a merchant with a credit card, and Plastiq will generate either a check, ACH payment, or wire. Why pay with a credit card? We typically recommend using Plastiq to hit a minimum spend requirement on a new credit card or to earn more points for a specific redemption.

Getting Started with Ibotta

I remember signing up for Ibotta way back in December of 2012 but I never used it until this year for some reason.  So far I have earning $121.90 as of July 11, 2019.

Ibotta is a free mobile coupon and cash-back shop app for iOS and Android devices.  It allows shoppers the opportunity to earn cash back on select products.  I have earned cashback on everything from bread to hand soap to even liquor.  

There are four simple steps that you need to follow while using Ibotta. 

1. Find Offers: Before you shop, add offers on great products by completing simple tasks.
2. Go Shopping:Buy the products you selected at supported retailers.  Don't forget your receipt!
3. Redeem: Redeem your offers by taking a photo of your receipt.  Ibotta matches the items you bought to the offers you selected and give you the cash!
4. Get Cash: Your cash back will be deposited into your Ibotta account within 48 hours.  You will need to accumulate $20 before you are able to redeem your earnings.  Paypal, Venmo, and gift cards are available as options for redeeming.

Ibotta - Check It Out and Start Saving Money!

One of my newest favorite apps is Ibotta. Not only is it FREE to use, but they make it SO easy to save money. I remember hearing about this app a couple of years ago and thought that I could save more money using coupons and making smart choices while shopping.  I should have started using this app so long ago!

WHAT IS IBOTTA?

Ibotta is a FREE app that allows you to get cash back for items you purchase. Here’s a quick rundown of the app works:

1. Download the Ibotta app for free. Click HERE to do that (it works whether you’re on the computer or on your smart phone).
2. Open the app and browse through the available rebates, unlocking any rebates for things you were going to buy anyway. (You unlock the rebate by tapping the plus sign.)
